NCIC 2027 Promise: Commissioner Jackson Swadi Assures Kenyans of Peaceful Elections<\/h1>\n

The National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) has assured Kenyans of its commitment to promoting a peaceful and cohesive environment ahead of the 2027 General Election.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Speaking during a stakeholders\u2019 event aimed at promoting peace ahead of the 2027 General Election, NCIC Commissioner Hon. Jackson Kedogo<\/strong> said the Commission will continue working with stakeholders to strengthen peaceful coexistence and prevent conflicts during the electoral period.<\/p>\n

The event, sponsored by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)<\/strong>, brought together stakeholders to discuss measures aimed at promoting peace, tolerance and responsible engagement ahead of the polls.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Commissioner Kedogo emphasized the importance of collaboration among government institutions, political actors, civil society organizations, communities and other stakeholders in ensuring that political competition does not undermine national cohesion.<\/p>\n

He urged Kenyans to embrace dialogue and peaceful participation, noting that the responsibility for maintaining peace ahead of the election extends beyond government institutions.<\/p>\n

The NCIC has continued to engage various stakeholders on peacebuilding and conflict prevention as the country prepares for the 2027 General Election.<\/strong><\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The Commission’s message comes as political activity gradually intensifies, with stakeholders increasingly calling for responsible political discourse, tolerance and peaceful democratic participation.<\/p>\n

NCIC reaffirmed its commitment to working with partners and communities to help ensure that Kenya’s electoral process is conducted in an environment of peace, cohesion and respect for democratic values.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
