Incoming Nairobi Governor Patrick Musili Mbangula has identified what he describes as poor leadership, inadequate sewage systems and drainage challenges as some of the major problems facing Nairobi residents.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Mbangula said the capital city has the potential to function better if its leadership prioritises basic services, proper planning and accountability.<\/p>\n
He said that, upon taking over the leadership of Nairobi, his administration would make the improvement of sewerage and drainage infrastructure a key priority, alongside addressing other challenges affecting residents and businesses.<\/p>\n
According to Mbangula, flooding, blocked drainage systems and inadequate sewerage infrastructure continue to affect communities across the city, creating health, environmental and economic<\/strong> concerns.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
He said his administration would focus on practical solutions rather than allowing Nairobi’s longstanding problems to continue unresolved.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe problem facing Nairobi is bad leadership, sewage and drainage. When I take over, I will finish these problems,\u201d Mbangula said.<\/p>\n
He further called for leadership that is responsive to the needs of Nairobi residents and capable of turning the city’s resources into tangible improvements in service delivery.<\/p>\n
