Reports have cited allegations of psychological intimidation, heavy workload, financial pressures and marital difficulties. These allegations have not been independently verified and should not be treated as established facts.

Her death has nevertheless raised a painful question: How can someone who appears successful, financially stable and professionally accomplished reach a point where life feels unbearable?

Koech’s story is a reminder that salary, status, professional achievement or social-media appearances do not necessarily reveal what someone is experiencing privately.

Reports indicate that Koech had been dealing with challenges in her personal life, including separation from her husband, and had subsequently been living alone in Ngong.

There have also been claims that she experienced difficulties at work and that she had spoken to some colleagues about her mental-health struggles. Those claims require careful verification and should not be used to assign blame without evidence.

Her death has also reopened the conversation around men and women who silently struggle despite appearing to have successful lives.

A person can have a good career, earn hundreds of thousands of shillings every month, raise a family and still be experiencing profound emotional distress.

Money cannot always buy peace. A successful career cannot always silence pain. And a beautiful family photograph cannot tell the full story of a person’s life.

The tragedy should therefore not become a debate about how much money Koech earned or whether a person with a particular salary should ever experience suicidal thoughts. Mental-health struggles do not discriminate according to income.

Instead, her death should encourage families, colleagues, friends and institutions to take emotional wellbeing seriously.

When was the last time you sat down with your partner and genuinely asked: “How are you doing?”

Not how the children are doing.

Not how work is going.

Not whether the bills have been paid.

But how are you really doing?

Sometimes, the person smiling beside you may be fighting a battle you know nothing about.

As Kenya mourns Rosemary Koech, her family, children, friends and colleagues deserve compassion, privacy and support.

May Rosemary Koech rest in peace.

Editor’s note: This report intentionally distinguishes reported allegations from established facts. The circumstances surrounding the death should be confirmed through authoritative investigations, and reporting should avoid speculation that could further harm the bereaved family.

“She Earned Over KSh600,000, Led Data Protection at KCB and Seemed to Have It All — What Happened to Rosemary Koech?” By Jeff Kizzilah…

[30

post-5483","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-latest-updates
["GET
