The President said the funding has facilitated treatment for about <strong>8 million citizens<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/livenation254.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/FB_IMG_1787052416803.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-5291\" src=\"https:\/\/livenation254.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/FB_IMG_1787052416803-300x218.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"218\" srcset=\"https:\/\/livenation254.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/FB_IMG_1787052416803-300x218.jpg 300w, https:\/\/livenation254.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/FB_IMG_1787052416803-1024x743.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/livenation254.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/FB_IMG_1787052416803-768x557.jpg 768w, https:\/\/livenation254.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/FB_IMG_1787052416803-1536x1114.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/livenation254.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/FB_IMG_1787052416803.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Through the Primary Health Care Fund, the government has disbursed <strong>KSh23.3 billion<\/strong>, supporting more than 20 million outpatient visits and benefiting over 15 million Kenyans. A further <strong>KSh17 billion<\/strong> has supported maternal healthcare services, including deliveries.<\/p>\n<p>President Ruto also said SHA has facilitated more than <strong>500,000 surgeries<\/strong> nationwide and provided treatment to more than <strong>50,000 cancer patients<\/strong>, compared with about 7,000 under NHIF.<\/p>\n<p>The number of healthcare facilities covered by SHA has also risen to more than <strong>10,700<\/strong>, according to the President, expanding access to healthcare closer to where Kenyans live and work.<\/p>\n<p>The government has further partnered with county administrations to employ <strong>107,800 Community Health Promoters<\/strong>, who have reached approximately <strong>9 million households<\/strong>, helping identify health risks early and connect families to appropriate treatment.<\/p>\n<p>Under the National Equipment Services Programme, <strong>850 modern medical equipment units worth KSh9.7 billion<\/strong> have been delivered to hospitals in 44 counties that have signed agreements for the equipment.
