The SportPesa National Sevens Circuit heads to Mamboleo Stadium on 1st and 2nd August for the second leg of the season, the Dala 7s, with all the pools now confirmed.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

40 teams have been confirmed for the two-day event, including the hosts Kisumu RFC, defending champions and early pacesetters KCB Rugby Club, and surprise newcomers Kiambaa Ladies.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

KCB Rugby, 19-12 winners over Kabras Sugar in Prinsloo, have been drawn in Pool A alongside MMUST, Impala RFC and Zetech Oaks who got promoted after winning Division 2 in Nakuru.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Mombasa Sports Club Rugby will get their first taste of rugby action this season when they come up against Kenya Harlequin, Blak Blad and Menengai Oilers in Pool B.<\/p>\n

Pool C features Nondescripts RFC, Daystar Falcons, Mwamba RFC and hosts Kisumu RFC.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Heavyweights Kabras RFC, Nakuru RFC, Strathmore Leos and Embu RFC will contest for Pool D honours in what looks the toughest group on paper.<\/p>\n

It is a quick turnaround from the circuit\u2019s opening leg which has KCB sitting three points clear at the top of the season standings, with Kabras Sugar RFC second and Nondescripts RFC third.<\/p>\n

On the women\u2019s side, Prinsloo losing finalists Kiambaa Ladies will be looking to upset Kenya Harlequin for a second leg running as they battle for top spot in Group B which also features Kisumu Dolphins and Kisii Polytechnic.<\/p>\n

Log leaders and overall series defending champions Mwamba RFC and Impala headline the women\u2019s Pool A, alongside Pioneer Ladies and Mwira Eagles.<\/p>\n

\u201cNakuru gave us a taste of just how competitive this season is going to be, and Dala 7s should raise the bar even higher. Kisumu always brings incredible energy, and pairing that with the quality we saw at Prinsloo, we\u2019re expecting a cracker of a weekend at Mamboleo,\u201d said Willis Ojwang, SportPesa Head of Public Relations.<\/p>\n

The tournament will be conducted in accordance with Kenya Rugby Union regulations and in compliance with applicable national laws governing sporting events in Kenya.<\/p>\n
