It is about celebrating what we have built together. Every milestone we have achieved carries the fingerprints of every member of this team. I may be leaving this office, but the institution we built together will continue serving Kenyans for many years to come,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>He urged the team to remain committed to professionalism, innovation and truthful public communication.<br \/>\n&#8220;Institutions are not built by one person. They are built by people who believe in a shared vision. Continue supporting one another, continue learning and never stop striving to communicate truthfully and professionally,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Mwaura&#8217;s tenure also saw the modernization of government communication through expanded digital platforms, multimedia production and the integration of artificial intelligence tools alongside traditional media.<\/p>\n<p>The Office played a critical role in coordinating official government communication during major national events, including the 2024 Gen Z protests, the Embakasi gas explosion, the El Ni\u00f1o emergency and the Elgeyo Marakwet mudslides, providing regular updates and ensuring coordinated messaging during national emergencies.<\/p>\n<p>Staff members praised Dr. Mwaura&#8217;s leadership, mentorship and commitment to professional growth, highlighting a work culture that encouraged creativity, accountability and collaboration.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting concluded with farewell messages, group photographs and expressions of gratitude as colleagues celebrated the journey they had shared.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Mwaura now transitions to his new role as Head of the Office of Diversity, Inclusion and Disability Rights in the Executive Office of the President, where he will spearhead national efforts to promote inclusion, strengthen disability rights and advance equal opportunities for marginalized groups.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Public service is a continuous journey. While my assignment is changing, my commitment to serving Kenya remains the same.
