Orengo Declares ‘Linda Mwananchi’ the True Heir to Raila’s Legacy, Rejects ‘State House-Controlled’ ODM Faction<\/p>\n

Siaya Governor James Orengo has intensified the political battle within ODM, declaring that the Linda Mwananchi Movement has become an unstoppable force committed to defending the ideals associated with Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga and championing the interests of ordinary Kenyans.<\/h6>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Speaking after a meeting with 36 County ODM Coordinators, Orengo claimed the officials had rejected what he described as the self-serving “Linda Tumbo” faction, asserting that the coordinators had instead pledged their support to the Linda Mwananchi Movement.<\/p>\n

\nAccording to Orengo, the movement represents the uncompromised vision and values that have historically defined ODM under Raila Odinga’s leadership.<\/p>\n

The Siaya Governor further alleged that the rival faction had lost its independence, claiming its decisions were no longer being made at Chungwa House, the ODM headquarters, but were instead being directed from State House. He cited what he described as an orchestrated effort to remove Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna from his party positions as evidence of outside influence.<\/p>\n

Orengo said the movement was drawing a clear line on its political agenda, insisting that future engagements would only be held with leaders committed to addressing the economic hardships facing Kenyans rather than pursuing political appointments or personal interests.<\/p>\n

He maintained that the Linda Mwananchi Movement would continue mobilizing support across the country while advocating for policies aimed at improving the welfare of ordinary citizens and safeguarding democratic principles.
