By News Desk\u00a0<\/strong><\/pre>\nTreasury Cabinet Secretary has appointed six members to the Board of the National Infrastructure Fund, marking a significant milestone in the operationalisation of the KSh 5 trillion financing vehicle established to accelerate Kenya’s infrastructure development.<\/p>\n
The newly appointed board comprises James Mworia Mwirigi, Fahima Ali Ahmed Zein, Christopher Kibui Maranga, Latoya Ouna, Lawrence Kibet and Mohammed Abdirahman Hassan. The members will serve three-year terms and will oversee the Fund’s governance and strategic direction.<\/p>\n
The National Infrastructure Fund is designed to mobilise long-term financing for commercially viable infrastructure projects across key sectors, including transport, energy,<\/strong> water and irrigation. The initiative aims to reduce Kenya’s dependence on conventional public borrowing while attracting sustainable investment into transformative national development projects.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
