The initiative is designed around the needs of Kenya\u2019s workforce, to support the country\u2019s broader digital transformation agenda.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The Microsoft Elevate AI National Skilling Initiative aligns with Kenya\u2019s Digital Masterplan and Vision 2030 ambitions, positioning the country as a regional hub for AI talent. This partnership leverages Stanbic Kenya Foundation\u2019s deep reach into SMEs, youth networks and county-level networks, enabling Microsoft to extend AI skilling into underserved and informal sectors.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cDigital literacy is one of the core pillars of Stanbic Kenya Foundation\u2019s work. Through this pillar, we partner with TVETs and Vocational Training Centres to build the capacity of instructors to deliver digital skills training that supports employability, entrepreneurship and participation in the digital economy,\u201d said Mercy Githanji, Head of Stanbic Foundation.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Since 2021, the Stanbic Kenya Foundation has worked with partners to equip women, youth and MSMEs with relevant 21st-century digital skills. Through the Future ni Digital platform, learners continue to access training across basic, intermediate and advanced digital skills, contributing to more than 250,000 Kenyans trained since 2019.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Winnie Karanu, Microsoft AI Skills Director, Microsoft, said \u201cthrough partners like Stanbic Foundation, we have been able to deliver training via county-level engagements and community-based platforms, expanding access beyond major cities.
