The conference brought together key stakeholders from across the education sector, including the Ministry of Education, the Teachers Service Commission (TSC), the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD), the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC), KEPSHA, KESSHA, the National Parents Association (NPA), Boards of Management, development partners, education experts, teachers and other stakeholders.

The broad participation reflected a shared national commitment to strengthening education through collaboration and partnership.

The NPA also applauds Mr. Willy Kuria and his leadership team for selecting the timely conference theme, “Strong Schools and Collaborative Leadership for Promoting Competency-Based Education (CBE).” The theme resonated strongly with participants by addressing the urgent need for united leadership as Kenya continues implementing Competency-Based Education amid evolving challenges within the education sector.

The conference provided an important platform for meaningful discussions on the implementation of CBE, school leadership, learner discipline, teacher shortages, delayed capitation, infrastructure development, digital transformation, learner welfare, mental health, and the indispensable role of parents in supporting learning outcomes. The National Parents Association was honoured to contribute the parents’ perspective in these critical conversations.

The NPA further applauds the keynote address delivered by Dr. Felix Koskei, whose message underscored that Kenya’s education reforms will only succeed through ethical, accountable and collaborative leadership. His emphasis on integrity, teamwork and learner-centred leadership provides a solid foundation for building resilient schools and equipping learners with the competencies, values and skills necessary to drive Kenya’s social and economic transformation.

The Association believes the conference has renewed hope, strengthened partnerships and reaffirmed the importance of collaboration among government institutions, school leaders, teachers, parents, learners, development partners and communities. The commitment demonstrated by all stakeholders inspires confidence in the future of Kenya’s education system.

The National Parents Association reaffirms its commitment to working closely with KESSHA, KEPSHA, the Ministry of Education, TSC, KICD, KNEC and all education stakeholders to strengthen parental engagement, promote learner welfare, support effective school leadership and advance quality, inclusive and competency-based education for every learner in Kenya.

Issued by:

Mr. Silas David Obuhatsa
National Chairman
National Parents Association (NPA)

By Jeff Kizzilah Digital Editor The National Parents Association (NPA) Mr. Silas David Obuhatsa National Chairman extends its heartfelt congratulations to the Kenya Secondary…

[26

post-4180","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-education
["GET
