Solaire Africa has officially opened its Nairobi headquarters, signaling a major vote of confidence in Kenya\u2019s growing renewable energy sector and positioning the country as the center of the company\u2019s expansion across Africa.<\/p>\n

The solar power solutions provider announced that its new permanent base in Westlands will serve as the regional hub for sales, system design, and after-sales support across East Africa. The move comes after the company successfully installed 3.5MW of solar capacity in Kenya, serving residential, commercial, and industrial customers.<\/p>\n

With nearly three decades of experience in power system manufacturing, Solaire Africa says Kenya has become a strategic market due to increasing demand for reliable and affordable energy solutions amid rising electricity costs and recurring grid challenges.<\/p>\n

The company\u2019s expansion places Nairobi alongside India as one of Solaire\u2019s two key operational hubs, underscoring Kenya\u2019s importance in the firm’s long-term growth strategy across the continent.<\/p>\n
Founded in India in 1998, Solaire has grown into a global power solutions group with operations in more than 14 countries, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Tanzania, and the United States. The company operates a 200,000-square-foot manufacturing facility and maintains in-house research and development capabilities focused on delivering durable energy solutions.<\/p>\n
Solaire Africa enters the Kenyan market with a comprehensive portfolio that includes solar inverters, lithium battery storage systems, Tier-1 solar panels, solar water heaters, and balance-of-system hardware. The company says customers will benefit from a single-point accountability model backed by a 10-year manufacturer warranty.<\/p>\n
Speaking during the launch, Chairman Muhamed Ali Chenangadan said the decision to establish a permanent presence in Kenya reflects a long-term commitment rather than a short-term business opportunity.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe did not come to Kenya to sell boxes. The power problems this country lives with every day are the same problems we set out to solve in 1998. Twenty-eight years of power system manufacturing taught us one thing above all: engineer it to last, and stand behind it. Nairobi is now the second home of that promise,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
CEO and Director Mohammed Rinas Chenangadan described Kenya as the ideal testing ground for future innovations and expansion plans.<\/p>\n
\u201cKenya is not a test market for us. It is the platform for everything that follows on the continent. We bring the complete solution and the long-term commitment required to support Africa\u2019s energy transition,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The launch is expected to strengthen Kenya\u2019s position as a leading renewable energy destination while supporting the country\u2019s efforts to expand access to clean, reliable, and affordable power.<\/p>\n
