A new chapter is unfolding for the Kenya Airports Authority Kenya Airports Authority as the State Corporation accelerates its transition under the Government-Owned Enterprises (GOE) Act, 2025.<\/strong><\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
The Authority convened a high-level strategic management session at the Kenya School of Government, bringing together middle and senior-level managers from across its network to align leadership on the implementation of the new governance framework.<\/p>\n
The engagement focused on deepening understanding of the GOE Act, 2025 and its implications for governance, accountability, operational efficiency, and overall institutional performance within the aviation sector.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Participants also undertook a comprehensive review of KAA\u2019s strategic direction, with discussions centered on strengthening the Authority\u2019s capacity to deliver safe, secure, efficient, and customer-centric airport services, while positioning Kenya as a competitive aviation hub in the region.<\/p>\n
Addressing the forum, the Managing Director, Mr. Moses Wekesa, emphasized that the ongoing reforms present a critical opportunity to enhance institutional effectiveness and drive sustainable growth in a rapidly evolving operating environment.<\/p>\n
He noted that successful implementation of the Act will require strong leadership, inter-departmental collaboration, and a unified commitment to excellence across all levels of the organization.<\/p>\n

The session also provided the newly appointed Managing Director with a platform to engage directly with senior and middle-level managers on issues affecting staff and the broader Authority.
