Speaking to the media, National Parents Association Chairman Mr. Silas David Obuhatsa congratulated President Ruto for appointing Mr. Ololtuaa to lead the Education docket, describing the move as a demonstration of confidence in experienced and capable leadership.<\/p>\n
\u201cMr. John Ololtuaa is a seasoned public servant with an impressive track record in public administration, policy implementation, and education management. We believe his experience and leadership will be instrumental in advancing the government’s education agenda and strengthening ongoing reforms within the sector,\u201d said Mr. Obuhatsa.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
The Association noted that the appointment comes at a critical period when Kenya is implementing key education reforms, including the continued rollout of the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC), expansion of learning opportunities, and efforts to improve quality and inclusivity across the education system.<\/p>\n
According to the NPA, Mr. Ololtuaa\u2019s extensive experience in government service positions him well to provide the strategic leadership needed to enhance stakeholder engagement, strengthen policy implementation, and address emerging challenges affecting learners, teachers, parents, and educational institutions.<\/p>\n
The Association further commended the outgoing Principal Secretary, Ambassador Julius Bitok, for his dedicated service and commitment to improving education standards during his tenure. NPA acknowledged the cordial working relationship that existed between the Ministry and parents, which contributed to significant progress in enhancing access, equity, and quality education across the country.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
\u201cAs parents, we appreciate Ambassador Julius Bitok\u2019s contribution to the education sector and wish him success in his new role. We are equally ready to work closely with Mr. Ololtuaa as he takes up this important responsibility,\u201d Mr. Obuhatsa added.<\/p>\n
The National Parents Association reaffirmed its commitment to supporting government initiatives aimed at improving education standards and ensuring every Kenyan child has access to quality education in a safe, secure, and conducive learning environment.<\/p>\n
The Association pledged its full support and cooperation to the incoming Principal Secretary and expressed optimism that under his leadership, the education sector will continue to make significant progress in delivering transformative outcomes for learners across the country.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
