The Government has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening research, science, technology and innovation as key drivers of Kenya\u2019s economic transformation, competitiveness and inclusive growth.<\/p>\n

Speaking during the official closing of the week-long Science, Technology, Research and Innovation Week, Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi underscored the critical role of innovation in positioning Kenya among Africa\u2019s leading knowledge-based economies.<\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

 <\/p>\n

During the event, Mudavadi launched the Masterplan for Research Financing and Capacity Strengthening, a strategic blueprint aimed at ensuring Kenya\u2019s research and innovation ecosystem remains locally grounded while globally competitive.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

He noted that the Government is focused on increasing investment in research, science and technology to develop practical solutions to the complex social and economic challenges facing the country.<\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\u201cResearch, science, technology and innovation remain critical pillars in driving Kenya\u2019s economic transformation, competitiveness and inclusive growth,\u201d Mudavadi said.<\/p>\n

Prof. Eng. Peter Muchiri ,Dedan Kimathi University (Middle) was recognized among the award winners for their contribution towards advancing innovation and scientific excellence in the country.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The conference also celebrated outstanding achievements by Kenyan scholars, scientists and innovators, with distinguished researchers including Prof. Eng. Peter N. Muchiri being recognized among the award winners for their contribution towards advancing innovation and scientific excellence in the country.<\/p>\n

Mudavadi emphasized that Kenya\u2019s future economic success will heavily depend on the country\u2019s ability to harness innovation, strengthen local research institutions and empower young scientists and innovators.<\/p>\n

The event brought together senior Government officials, academia, researchers, innovators and development stakeholders committed to advancing Kenya\u2019s scientific and technological agenda.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Among those present were Principal Secretary for Science, Research and Innovation Prof. Shaukat Abdulrazak and Principal Secretary for Higher Education Dr. Beatrice Inyangala alongside distinguished scholars, researchers and innovators from across the country.<\/p>\n

The conference highlighted Kenya\u2019s growing ambition to build a resilient innovation ecosystem capable of creating jobs, boosting industrialization and enhancing the country\u2019s competitiveness on the global stage.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
