The Government has moved<\/strong> to reaffirm the strength and stability of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) following emerging political reactions linked to Murang\u2019a Governor Irungu Kang\u2019ata\u2019s stance within the party.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Speaking on the matter, Government Spokesperson Hon. Isaac Mwaura emphasized that UDA remains firmly rooted, particularly in the Mount Kenya region, citing the overwhelming participation of over 580,000 members in the party\u2019s recent grassroots elections. He noted that such turnout is a clear indication of sustained public confidence and grassroots mobilization.<\/p>\n

Mwaura further pointed to UDA\u2019s recent by-election victories as proof of its continued political dominance and growing national appeal. According to him, the party is focused on building a stable, issue-based political movement that transcends election cycles and anchors long-term national development.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\u201cUDA is not a seasonal outfit. It is a national party built on strong structures, ideology, and the will of the people,\u201d Mwaura stated.<\/p>\n

At the same time, the Government Spokesperson acknowledged the dynamic nature of Kenya\u2019s political landscape, affirming that every leader has the constitutional right to associate with a political party of their choice.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a democracy, we respect the freedom of political affiliation. Leaders are at liberty to make their own choices, but UDA remains strong and united,\u201d he added.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The remarks come amid heightened political realignments in the Mount Kenya region, with analysts closely watching how emerging differences may shape the region\u2019s political direction ahead of the 2027 general elections.<\/p>\n
