Sonko emphasized that the police station is not only vital for maintaining law and order but also plays a central role in ongoing legal proceedings. He cited specific cases, including ACC No. 1 of 2020 and another active investigation reported under OB No. 02\/17\/01\/2026, both tied to records held at the station.<\/p>\n
He warned that any attempt to remove or weaken the facility could interfere with judicial processes and jeopardize access to crucial evidence and witnesses.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe cannot and will not allow the security of Upper Hill to be compromised. Weakening security in such a strategic area is not just reckless\u2014it is a grave risk to lives, critical institutions, and the economic stability of our country,\u201d he declared.<\/p>\n
