Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has hit back strongly at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) following threats of a formal probe into his explosive allegations surrounding the multi-billion fuel scandal.<\/p>\n

In a bold and defiant statement, Gachagua dismissed the DCI\u2019s move as intimidation tactics aimed at silencing him after he accused President William Ruto of demanding Ksh 500 million allegedly recovered from officials linked to the Ksh 4.8 billion fuel scandal.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\u201cI am not intimidated. If speaking the truth is a crime, then come and arrest me,\u201d Gachagua declared, daring the DCI to take action against him.<\/p>\n

The former Deputy President maintained that his claims are rooted in credible information and insisted he will not be cowed into silence. He accused the current administration of orchestrating a cover-up and using state agencies to shield those implicated in corruption.<\/p>\n
