The move is aimed at cushioning small-scale traders from disruption and ensuring continuity of their businesses.<\/p>\n<p>Initially, each trader had been required to pay KSh 5,000 to secure space in the new market. However, the government has now stepped in to cover the full cost on behalf of all traders, eliminating the financial burden and easing the transition process.<\/p>\n<p>The relocation is part of a broader plan to rehabilitate and modernise Gikomba Market, one of Nairobi\u2019s busiest commercial hubs.
