Leaders Condemn Gikomba Demolitions, Demand Justice for Traders.<\/p>\n

Today, strong condemnation has been issued following the controversial demolition of traders\u2019 premises at Gikomba Market, in what is being termed as a blatant disregard for the rule of law and the rights of ordinary Kenyans.<\/p>\n

Standing in solidarity with the affected traders, it was emphasized that these men and women represent the backbone of Kenya\u2019s informal economy\u2014waking up before dawn each day to \u092e\u0947\u0939\u0928\u0924 and provide for their families while sustaining local commerce.<\/p>\n

Reports indicate that despite securing valid court orders intended to protect their businesses, the traders\u2019 structures were still brought down.<\/p>\n

This action has raised serious concerns over the respect for judicial authority and the protection of citizens\u2019 rights.<\/p>\n
