Amaco Insurance is facing serious scrutiny following allegations of deliberate refusal to settle a verified payment claim, raising concerns over corporate governance and fair business practices.<\/p>\n

Matis Solutions Limited, a private investigations firm, has formally escalated the dispute to the Consumer Protection Authority, citing failure by the insurer to pay KSh 1,520,485 for investigative services rendered between April 2023 and August 2025. The firm maintains that the work was duly completed, acknowledged, and invoiced in line with agreed terms.<\/p>\n

In a complaint dated March 17, 2026, Matis Solutions outlines what it describes as an irregular and unjustified halt in the payment process. According to the firm, the delay took an unexpected turn when a senior official within Amaco Insurance allegedly introduced a third party\u2014unconnected to the contract\u2014as a condition for payment approval.<\/p>\n

Matis Solutions Director, Salome Wakore Muita, has directly accused Claims Manager Jedidah Wachira of interfering with the payment process by imposing unauthorized conditions and engaging in questionable commercial conduct.<\/p>\n

Muita recounts a meeting held on December 1, 2025, during which she claims she was informed that payment would only be processed upon reaching an \u201cagreement\u201d with the unidentified third party. The alleged demand, which reportedly lacked any formal documentation or contractual basis, has raised serious concerns regarding transparency and accountability within the insurer.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is not just a payment delay\u2014it is a matter of principle and integrity in business operations,\u201d Muita stated. \u201cWe fulfilled our contractual obligations, yet we are being subjected to conditions that have no legal or professional grounding.\u201d<\/p>\n

The firm argues that the incident points to deeper systemic issues within Amaco Insurance, where internal processes may be manipulated, potentially disadvantaging service providers and undermining trust in regulated financial institutions.<\/p>\n

Matis Solutions is now urging the Consumer Protection Authority to investigate the matter thoroughly and determine whether the conduct in question constitutes unfair trade practices or improper business dealings. The company is also seeking immediate settlement of the outstanding amount and appropriate regulatory intervention.<\/p>\n
