KALONZO, WAMALWA LEAD OPPOSITION FIGURES IN HOSPITAL VISIT TO INJURED TUJU, DEMAND END TO POLICE INTIMIDATION<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka, accompanied by DAP-Kenya Leader Eugene Wamalwa, Advocate Ndegwa Njiru, and other leaders today visited Raphael Tuju at Karen Hospital, where he is admitted in critical condition following a forceful police operation.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Hon. Tuju is currently undergoing specialized scans to assess suspected spinal injuries reportedly sustained when police officers forcibly bundled him into a Subaru vehicle during his arrest.<\/p>\n

The leaders expressed grave concern over his deteriorating condition and the circumstances surrounding the incident.<\/p>\n

The delegation strongly condemned what they termed as \u201cstate-sponsored brutality\u201d and raised alarm over the continued presence of police officers stationed inside the hospital room, describing it as intimidation and a violation of Tuju\u2019s rights even as he receives urgent medical care.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe thank the medical team at Karen Hospital for their professionalism and exemplary care under difficult circumstances.<\/p>\n

However, it is deeply disturbing that Hon. Tuju remains under police watch in such a vulnerable state,\u201d said Kalonzo Musyoka.<\/p>\n

In a direct message to President William Ruto, Kalonzo challenged the Head of State to demonstrate genuine concern.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cMr. President, you have previously referred to us as scavengers. If Hon. Tuju is truly your friend, then prove it\u2014stop the daylight land grab, respect his constitutional rights, and order the immediate withdrawal of police from his hospital room,\u201d he stated.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The leaders reaffirmed their solidarity with Hon. Tuju and his family, vowing to remain steadfast in demanding justice, accountability, and respect for the rule of law.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will stand with Hon. Tuju until his full recovery and ensure that those responsible for this injustice are held accountable,\u201d added Wamalwa.<\/p>\n
