\"\"<\/a>According to a multi-agency response on the ongoing heavy rains, 73 deaths have been recorded, 4 people injured, and 13,795 households displaced, affecting a total of 66,568 people across the country, Government Spokesperson Issac Mwaura reported.<\/p>\n

Government stakeholders, including the Kenya Coast Guard Service in collaboration with the Red Cross, confirmed that Western Kenya, particularly Migori County and parts of Homa Bay County, have suffered extensive damage, with over 2,000 acres of crops destroyed and major road infrastructure damaged.<\/p>\n

In Nairobi, the collapse of a multi-storey building at Brookside, Westlands left several people trapped. Rescue teams have since evacuated the injured and cleared those trapped inside.<\/p>\n
